This week's agents left the chat box, and they've got somewhere to work. There's a desk at Google, a laptop from Microsoft, a ring from Natura, and jobs that edit a video, build a live chart, or simulate a world.
Google's Gemini work agent gives a business its own Workspace identity, with an email address, a calendar, and a Drive, so it can show up in the company directory. You hand it an objective instead of a chat, it plans the work, and a colleague can mention it the way they'd mention a teammate, and the audit trail stays with the agent. Google hasn't published a consumer price, because that version comes later.
Natura's Interface is a ring you press to talk to an agent without pulling out your phone. TechCrunch says it connects at launch to Meta's Muse, Claude, ChatGPT, Grok Bot, and others, tracks your sleep and heart rate, and sends replies through headphones or the app. Preorders are expected next month, with shipping in December or January, and TechCrunch reports a $99 launch price with a $9 monthly fee planned after a free period.
On a paid Claude plan, you can ask a plain-language question and get a live warehouse dashboard back, with each number opening the query behind it. Anthropic opened that beta on October 8 for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise, and an Enterprise owner has to turn it on. There's no separate fee, and the queries count toward the limits you already have, so pick a question you could check yourself before you share the chart.
Microsoft is turning Windows into hybrid intelligence, so an agent can run on the PC when the work stays local and reach the cloud when it needs more. The laptop built for that is the Surface Laptop Ultra, which starts at $2,599 with NVIDIA RTX Spark and is available October 16.
Synthesia opened Syren in beta today. You describe a video, or share a branded document or image, and an agent builds the motion graphics, avatar, voiceover, music, and b-roll, then you refine it in chat.
Odyssey launched Odyssey-3 on October 8, a world model that predicts how a scene changes when a person or an agent acts in it. The company says Odyssey-3 Pro scored 66.1 on Physics-IQ Verified's video-to-video test, the highest score it reports. You can try a Flash research preview in the browser.
Today, hand one real task to an agent you can already open, whether that's Gemini at work, a paid Claude dashboard, or Syren, and read what it changed before you share it.
