Even with its planned subscription, Natura's $99 Interface ring costs well under half what an Oura Ring 4 does in year one. It talks to AI agents and tracks your sleep.

Year one

Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, who previously founded the accessories company Rolling Square, told TechCrunch that Natura is launching Interface at $99 and plans to raise the hardware price later. Natura wants the ring in people's hands, with usage built up, before that increase. Preorders are expected next month, with shipping in December or January. After a free period of three to six months, Natura plans to charge $9 a month. It isn't clear whether those free months are fixed for every buyer, or whether the clock starts at preorder, at delivery, or the first time you use the ring. Until a preorder page names your window, $153 and $180 are the range you can plan around.

Oura's store lists Ring 4 from $349, and the Silver finish is $349. Ring 5 starts at $399 on that page, so this comparison stays with the Ring 4. The U.S. membership note on the Ring 4 page is $5.99 a month or $69.99 a year, before tax. Across 12 months the annual rate is the cheaper of the two, and that's the membership in the table.

Scenario Hardware Paid months in year 1 Fees in year 1 Year-one total
Natura, if 6 months are free $99 6 $54 $153
Natura, if 3 months are free $99 9 $81 $180
Oura Ring 4, annual membership $349 12, billed yearly $69.99 $418.99

Six free months is $265.99 less than Oura's annual total, about $266. Three free months is $238.99 less. Oura month to month is $420.88, $1.89 above the annual plan. Oura's U.S. membership prices are before tax. The $9 fee doesn't say whether tax is included.

Read the totals with the fee inside them. Interface's $153 and $180 already include the months you'd pay, and Oura's $418.99 already includes the annual membership. Set the $99 hardware price against Oura's $349 and you leave out the charge that decides the year.

The ring

Interface is meant to hand a request to an AI agent without you taking out your phone. TechCrunch says that at launch it connects to agents and apps including Meta's Muse, Instinct, Grok Bot, Claude, and ChatGPT, and that you can point a task at a specific one. Replies come through connected headphones, an iPhone Live Activity, or the NatureOS app. Natura's earlier product was HumanPods, a pair of AI earbuds.

TechCrunch says the ring records heart rate, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, sleep stages, daily movement and step count, and skin temperature over time. Natura says a charge lasts six to 12 days, depending on use, and takes 100 minutes to refill. Oura's Ring 4 page lists five to eight days, and a charge that typically takes 20 to 80 minutes. Those figures come from each company. Interface hasn't shipped, so there's no review yet of the agents or the sleep stages to set beside them.

Oura is plain about why that membership is in the $418.99. On the Silver Ring 4 page, Oura says that without a membership, "the Oura Ring can be used only with limited functionality." The detailed scores sit behind the fee.

Who should buy

Ferraris described the first customers himself. "So in this first phase, we expect it's going to be for the people that already have a personal agent, which is mostly people in tech," he told TechCrunch.

If that's you, $99 is the hardware price to lock in before it rises, and the table is the year that price turns into. If you want a health tracker you can order today, with the membership limit already written down, get the Oura. Preorder the Interface if the agents are why you want it. Wait if the sleep tracking has to be proven before a $9 month starts.
