Workvivo has launched Catch Me Up, an AI-generated digest that turns workplace updates into a sequence of swipeable stories. If you’ve returned from a few days away to a crowded company feed, the appeal is straightforward: get your bearings before deciding which posts deserve a closer read.

There’s a practical limit worth knowing before you rely on it. The digest stays the same for seven hours. That makes it a catch-up aid rather than a continuously updated briefing, particularly when something important changes during your working day.

The Workvivo launch announcement confirms that Catch Me Up went live on November 2. It appears in the For You feed and organizes updates into categories such as company news, leadership posts, trending content and upcoming events. Its personalization considers your role, organizational connections and interests. You can open an original post from a story, then return to the digest.

That link back matters more than the familiar swipe-through format. A summary can help you find an announcement, but the original is where you should check a deadline, an exception or the instructions attached to it. Treat the digest as a route into the material, rather than proof that you’ve understood everything you missed.

Check the time window before catching up

The Catch Me Up feature guide explains that a first digest covers the previous seven days. After a longer absence, it can cover the period since your last digest, subject to your organization’s configured lookback limit, which defaults to 30 days. Returning sooner can give you a choice of periods, including seven, 14 or 30 days, when there isn’t a cached digest to reopen.

Access also depends on your workplace’s setup, including Workvivo AI being enabled. The guide lists it as a free-tier feature within Workvivo HQ and tells customers to contact Workvivo to enable it. Administrators and AI Managers can manage its settings, including which categories appear. It works on web and mobile.

For an employer introducing it, a useful first test would be to ask returning colleagues whether it helped them find the few updates that actually affected their work. Finishing a digest is easy to measure; knowing what to do next is the more valuable result.

If your company enables Catch Me Up, try it after time away and follow through to the posts that concern you. Keep checking your usual urgent communication channels throughout the day, especially while the digest is still showing the same seven-hour snapshot.
