US spot Bitcoin ETFs just posted their strongest week of inflows in nearly a year. For the week ending September 25, the products took in about $2.4 billion in net creations, a haul not seen since early October 2025, according to Crypto Briefing. FXStreet, citing SoSoValue, puts the same weekly figure at $2.4 billion and cumulative net inflows near $58 billion, with average net assets around $108 billion.
That matters more than a one-week cheer. Crypto Briefing notes year-to-date net flows for spot Bitcoin ETFs now sit near +$934 million, after the category was about $5.8 billion underwater as recently as mid-July. Monday's tape still looked soft, with Bitcoin trading below $83,000 in FXStreet's snapshot, so the flow story and the price story are not the same chart. You can have solid creations while spot chops, and that is exactly the gap this week shows.

Where the $2.4B went
Most of the money still concentrated in the usual three. Crypto Briefing's fund split for the week:
| Fund | Approx. weekly net inflow | Share of $2.4B |
|---|---|---|
| BlackRock IBIT | $1.2B | 50% |
| Fidelity FBTC | $702M | ~29% |
| ARK 21Shares ARKB | $295M | ~12% |
| Top three combined | $2.197B | ~91.5% |
Inputs so you can check us: $1.2 ÷ 2.4 = 0.50; ($1.2 + 0.702 + 0.295) ÷ 2.4 ≈ 0.915. The daily pattern cooled as the week went on. Monday peaked near $999 million; Friday slowed to about $135 million, which is only about 13.5% of that Monday print ($135 ÷ 999 ≈ 0.135). Bitcoin had briefly touched $87,000 early in the week before sliding back into the low-$80,000s, which lines up with the fade in creations.

If you only remember one operational detail, make it concentration. When more than nine tenths of a record week sits in three tickers, the market's "ETF bid" is really an IBIT-and-friends bid. That is not a criticism of the products. It is a reminder that a quiet week for BlackRock and Fidelity would shrink the headline total fast.
The YTD flip, in one stretch of math
Mid-July YTD was about −$5.8 billion. Late September YTD is about +$934 million. The swing is $5.8B + $0.934B = $6.734 billion of net buying over roughly two months, using Crypto Briefing's figures. That is the recovery that finally put 2026 back above water after a painful first half that included a record $4.51 billion outflow month in June, per the same report.
It was not only Bitcoin. Crypto Briefing puts Ether ETF inflows around $690 million for the same week, Solana ETFs around $188 million, and XRP ETFs around $76 million. FXStreet, again citing SoSoValue, also highlights Ethereum's weekly rebound after a prior-week outflow and notes XRP's eleventh straight week of inflows. Put those alt ETF weeks next to the Bitcoin print and you get a broader institutional tape, not a single-asset spike.
Context for readers who followed earlier Geeknewz ETF coverage: mid-September already showed a strong green stretch, including a roughly $1 billion-class week in prior reporting. This $2.4 billion print is a step up from that, and the YTD sign flip is the new part worth tracking.
Geeknewz verdict
Treat the $2.4 billion week as real institutional demand, not a promise that $87,000 returns on cue. Geeknewz's view: the useful watch items are whether IBIT and FBTC keep taking the bulk of creations, whether Friday-style fade days start clustering, and whether YTD stays green if Bitcoin retests the $80,000 area FXStreet flagged as a near-term line. Flows can stay strong while spot chops; that is exactly the gap this week's data shows.
